IO2 – The virtual/extended class (V/E) Teaching & Learning Tasks Dynamic Toolkit

LUMSA will coordinate IO2 aimed at developing a virtual/extended class (V/E) Teaching & Learning Tasks Dynamic Toolkit (TDT), that will take into account different kinds of teaching functions and teacher-learner interactions. The Toolkit will be organized as an open online tool with searchable and downloadable items. It will allow the categorization and research of different digital tools defined in IO1.

The virtual/extended class (V/E) Teaching & Learning Tasks Dynamic Toolkit is aimed at classifying the digital tools according to the use they have and presenting the pedagogical methodology that could be used to include them into a lecture. In this phase the tools will be organized according to the classification included in the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators and based on the following 6 layers: a) professional engagement; b) digital resources; c) teaching and learning; d) assessment; e) empowering learners; f) facilitating learners’ digital competence.

The toolkit will help the educators to navigate the different tools selected by the partners and identifying the most effective tool according to their needs. In order to ease the use the

toolkit by the teachers, for each tool of the tool classified according to the DigCompEdu there will be an additional classification according to some filters (e.g. duration of the lesson; number of the learners in class and online; kind of devices available, etc.). For each tool a detailed analytical sheet will be created, using a common template encompassing at least the following headings: 1. Which is the pedagogical methodology to use when adopting the digital tool, 2. Strengths and weaknesses of the digital tool, 3. Examples/good practice of its adoption, 4. Videos or other interactive materials, 5. Additional resources, 6. Bibliography.
